Alan R. Zuckerman

President & CEO

Alan Zuckerman is an original founder and president and CEO of Verticon, Ltd. Prior to Verticon, Alan was a managing partner at Zuckerman Contractors, the family firm.

Since 1973, Alan’s years of commitment to the communities in and around the mid-Hudson Valley have made him a respected resource to the region’s top planners, as well as to several economic development organizations.

Alan has worked in every aspect of the construction industry, from project conception all the way through to the issuance of certificates of occupancy.  His extensive experience in the areas of deal structure, municipal approvals, transaction analysis and banking presentations during the pre-construction phase has been the foundation that clients lean on during the sometimes daunting process of pre-construction.

Alan leads Verticon’s construction management and general construction projects as well as the firm’s preeminent estimating team and value engineering services. In addition to these duties, he is responsible for updating the estimating and project management team on the use of Verticon’s project management systems so that all field superintendents are continually in the loop. Alan and his estimating team’s experience with preliminary costs studies is a central strength of Verticon’s services.

Alan holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

James Seckler

Vice President of Estimating

 James Seckler, Verticon’s vice president of estimating, is a highly experienced professional with over 30 years working in the construction supervision and estimating business, focusing on  the commercial and residential sectors, subcontract scheduling and management, cost control and analysis, purchasing, quality control and regulatory compliance.

Seckler’s certifications include OSHA 10 and Procore Project Management Software Completion Certificate.

He is a graduate of the Manhattan Technical Institute.
